Mak's Noodle @ Tsim Sha Tsui, Hong Kong

Obviously, one bowl of congee couldn't even fill the bottom of our tummies, so we had to squeeze in another meal before our proper dinner with D's cousin!

Whenever people talk about Hong Kong, almost everyone would suggest that I try out this Wonton Noodle place, and it is none other than Mak's Noodle.

Ranked as the BEST Wonton Noodle in Hong Kong, we were really eager to find out what this restaurant has to offer!

We went to the one in Tsim Sha Tsui just because we were exploring that neighbourhood.
But honestly, Mak's Noodle is everywhere in Hong Kong.

As usual, the restaurant is pretty cramped. Small tables arranged in close proximity to one another, such setting really requires some getting used to; we were even requested to move to a small table when we were already comfortably sat at our place. Oh well.

That aside, we were really excited to see what sets their wonton noodles apart from the other Wonton Noodle restaurants in HK!

Tossed Noodle with Wonton Dumpling & Oyster Sauce ($60)
Priced at a shocking amount of $60 for a bowl of Wonton Noodle. they better served us Wonton wrapped in gold foil. LOL.
But nope.
Not only did the dishes looked extremely mediocre, but it also came in the most depressing portion.
But judgment aside, we were excited to try the noodles!
Their Wonton Noodles were thinner than what we have back here in Malaysia.
Thick oyster sauce placed at the side of the noodles, we then had to mixed everything together ourselves.
Frankly speaking, I didn't quite like the noodles, it tasted slightly bitter, but D thoroughly enjoyed it.
However, I really liked their Wonton and the Soup!
The meat in the wonton was nicely marinated and flavoured.
The soup was light and refreshing, with one too many sprinkles of black pepper powder.
